Donate your time and talent to help PHD continue its work in the community. Volunteers receive extensive training and enjoy interaction with PHD staff, clients and other volunteers. Focus areas include:

Donate to PHD’s Baby & Maternity Closet
PHD Baby & Maternity Closet eases a family’s financial burden by providing supplemental baby food, formula, diapers and children’s and maternity clothing. In 2009 PHD provided over 20,000 jars of baby food, 6,500 dozen diapers, 1,800 cans of formula and 2,500 bags of clothing. Here’s how you can help:

Host a drive or a “Baby Bottle” collection through your church, school or business
Donate directly to the closet – drop items off at 37 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine, IL (After July 1, 2010 please contact Patty Branham at the number below for more information.)

Shop PHD Resale Boutique
Love to shop? PHD Resale Boutique gives you a reason to feel good about it! Located at 140 W. Northwest Highway, PHD Resale Boutique offers 3,500 square feet of gently worn apparel, accessories, furniture and décor. Brand new, hand-selected jewelry is also featured. Proceeds of sales directly support PHD’s Baby & Maternity Closet and the programs/services PHD provides to our clients.

PHD Resale Boutique now offers FREE furniture pick up through Midwest Moving and Storage, Inc. Pick up location must be located within a 10-mile radius from the store otherwise a small fee may apply. PHD does not accept entertainment centers, electronics, mattresses or TV sets. For more information on what is accepted and to make an appointment please call 847-991-1770.
